Honaar Goods is based on two simple life philosophies - "If someone else can do it, so can I.", and "Quality, Simply."
Honaar Goods was started by two friends who were interested in making quality goods that didn't cost an arm and a leg. "What's the point of having a wallet if you don't have any money to put in it?"
As an environmental scientist, Stephen Parvaresh needed quality products that could withstand the abuse that came from being in the field at power plants constantly. After searching the internet, he finally decided that mass-produced products were made out of cheap leather, and durable leather products were too expensive. So he set about trying his hand at his own products. With a lifetime of carpentry experience, working with leather came naturally, shaping and cutting and stitching into whatever design he desired.
Garrett Martin, a self-proclaimed minimalist, wanted products that would last the test of time so he would only ever need one. After graduating college and traveling across the country for a while, he settled in Texas for a time working at a leather supply company. Then, after taking a teaching position in South Korea, and then thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail, he took over the role of design consultation. He and Stephen collaborate on product ideas, designs, and company logistics. Garrett, the supplier and design consultant; Stephen, the manufacturer, and designer.
Honaar is a homage to Stephen's heritage and craft, meaning Art in Farsi. Each product with the symbolic Honaar logo is a one-of-a-kind piece of art, just for you. And it only gets better with age.
